Here are the lifestyle changes to feel energized all day without much effort

Are you feeling a little sluggish lately? Tired by 2pm and in need of a nap? No you don’t need a nap, you just need a little boost of energy to get you through the day. Or if you’re just depressed about Brad and Angelina’s divorce well , I’m sure they’ll cope well, so focus on yourself and get back to being energized and motivated 🙂 Here are a few tips on simple lifestyle changes.

Oh no, drop that Red Bull right now because we are not talking about glugging energy drinks to feel awake…

Being energized is not a difficult task and the steps below will help you feel more energetic, happy and motivated which in turn will improve your overall productivity.

Deep Breathing

A close friend who is a wellness fanatic introduced me to this technique and it has worked wonders for me. You just simply sit up straight with your legs crossed on a flat surface (yes bed is fine) and hold your right nostril with your right thumb and breath through your left nostril. Take deep, slow breaths and be mindful of it. Do it every morning and experience amazing results!

Now I’m sure you’re already aware of this but Lemon infused water is the bomb! Add a dash of honey to it and take it a notch up. Add a few drop of lemon to a glass of lukewarm water together with two slices of it and add a teaspoon of honey. Drink this on an empty stomach every morning. The benefits of this are insane. You will feel light, energized and refreshed throughout the day. This drink will also keep your immune system on check while watching your weight. So win win!!

Yes, you already know Yoga is amazing, you also don’t have the time to go to a class but there are just a few postures that you can practice at home to feel energized and strengthen your overall body. Search on pinterest for 4 or 5 basic Ashtanga Yoga postures and create an inspiration board for yourself. Practice these postures at least 3 to 4 times a week ( it will take you about 1/2 an hour). This will make a huge difference in your life. You will feel calm, relaxed, stronger and energized. Yoga is a lifestyle, not just a physical activity. Take my word for it 🙂

Meditate to balance the mind and body

I see that meditation is easily misinterpreted in the online world. Meditation is not about quietly sitting in one place and focusing what’s in your mind, it’s more about focusing on one thing at least for two minutes without being distracted at all. Now this is nearly impossible to do at first because there are a million thoughts running through our mind. Start with 30 seconds. See if you can focus on your normal breathing pattern (the inhale and exhale process) without thinking about anything else. Be mindful of your regular breathing and how it flows through your body and comes out. In time you can increase your time limits. This will help you feel amazing… trust!!!

These lifestyle changes will help you become the best version of yourself. As cliche as that sounds it’s true. I promise!!
